The Community foundation was pleased to grant $2,000 to the new Cancer Support Community - Greater San Gabriel Valley. The grant will be used for CSCSGV to put on free Wednesday Family Night that support cancer patients, their caregiver(s),/loved ones, and their children or grandchildren.

SMCF award Sierra Madre Elemnetary School a grant of $2,090 for their new Farm to Table program. Students have been planting, growing and harvesting their own food, usingthe school’s current garden, which is a half circle located on the North side of the playground.

SMCF awarded the City of Sierra Madre a grant in the amount of $1,500 to support their 2023 Halloween Happenings Event.. The City brings the annual event to life for one fun filled evening.

Sierra Madre Community Foundation was able to provide of grant of $4320 to the Sierra Madre Rose Float Association to help offset the costs of some needed maintenance improvements to the Float Barn. The grant will be used to replace old lighting and install new electrical hardware.

Many people are familiar with the physical aspects of what it takes for the Sierra Madre Search and Rescue Team to accomplish its mission. The role of technology is not as visible as Team members carrying their backpacks, but technology is an essential part of any search and rescue operation.
