City of Sierra Madre

SMCF awarded the City of Sierra Madre a grant in the amount of $1,500 to support their 2023 Halloween Happenings Event..  The City brings the annual event to life for one fun filled evening. The incredible merchants contribute to the fun by providing downtown trick or treating while the Sierra Madre Fire Department gears up to lead all our wonderful, costumed participants down the parade route. Upon arrival at Memorial Park, visitors are treated to a live performance by the Sierra Madre Dance Center dancers and followed up with a lively costume contest. Thousands of Halloween enthusiasts flood Sierra Madre with excitement in their eyes as they see all the amazing, creative costumes and incredible home decorations.

"The City of Sierra Madre is able to maintain and build this tradition with the help of generous sponsors, such as the Sierra Madre Community Foundation. Portions of the grant awarded to the Community Services Department will contribute to various components of holding the event including decorations, event insurance and equipment."
