Nicole Jacquemin
Having moved from New York to Sierra Madre, I have enjoyed the small town feel of Sierra Madre for the last 20 years. Raising my son, who attended both SME and SMMS, I appreciate all the community offers its residents.

Why do you serve on the board of the SMCF?
IIn appreciation for all the community has provided, I happily serve on the board to give back and stay connected with local events.
Where else do you volunteer?
I’ve been a board member for over 10 years at Learning Works in Pasadena, which is a charter school for at-risk and in-crisis youth. I also support girls in technology through mentoring and coaching events.
What’s your profession?
With a degree Math and Computer Science, I’ve had a long career in Tech and I’m currently doing complex technology solutioning for a global organization. I also have a love for fitness, so I teach yoga and Zumba at local gyms in the evenings.
What attracted you to Sierra Madre?
While living in New York, I’d visit relatives in Arcadia and Altadena each year and I loved driving through Sierra Madre, so it was the target town for me when I moved.
What’s your favorite aspect of the town?
When I first moved to Sierra Madre, I was told that it’s 3 square miles and has no traffic lights. I’m happy the town has maintained that quaintness and I love that I can walk to anything I need in town.
What’s your favorite local restaurant and why?
I like all of the restaurants in Sierra Madre, depending on what I want to eat and whether it is for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, or treat.
What’s your favorite local store and why?
Definitely the ACE hardware store! Not only do they have everything I need to deal with my home repairs and garden, they are so helpful whenever I have questions, which I greatly appreciate!!
