Thanks to financial support from the Sierra Madre Community Foundation, more than 200 local students in grades K-8 participated in Sierra Madre Public Library’s Bookmark Contest. This year’s theme was Why is Sierra Madre Super? Winners from each grade received certificates and cash prizes along with a photo with Mayor Gene Goss. The winning entries are now on display in the Library. Five of the winning bookmarks will be printed and distributed this summer to library visitors.
Funding of the Sierra Madre Public Library’s bookmark contest aligns with the Community Foundation’s continuing interest to support civic improvement projects throughout the city.
